Absolute Duo (Japanese : アブソリュート・デュオ Hepburn: Abusoryūto Du)

Absolute Duo (Japanese
: アブソリュート・デュオ Hepburn: Abusoryūto Du) is a Japanese light novel series by Takumi Hiiragiboshi with illustrations by Yū Asaba. Media Factory has published nine volumes since 2012 under their MF Bunko J imprint. It has received two manga adaptations. A 12-episode anime television series adaptation by 8-Bit aired between January 4 and March 22, 2015.

Tooru Kokonoe is the male protagonist of the Absolute Duo series. After a horrific incident in his past, he decided to enroll in Kouryou Academy to get stronger, and to understand his Irregular Blaze. His Duo partner is Jullie Sigtuna.

Julie Sigtuna is the main female protagonist of the Absolute Duo series. She is the princess from the European country called Gimlé.
The reason she came to Japan and Kouryou Academy is because she wants to get stronger to avenge her father's death, for this she seeks out Tooru for help and to teach her his Final Move.

Lilith Bristol is one of the main characters of the series. Lilith a student from the British branch of Kouryou Academy, also called an ≪Exception≫ ((特別(エクセプション Tokubetsu (Ekusepushon), lit., "special"). A girl with a different kind of Blaze from her peers, she travels to Japan in search of Tooru Kokonoe, who also shares a similar recognition.
She and Sakuya somehow have known each other for a very long time.

Rito Tsukimi is the homeroom teacher for Tooru and Julie in Kouryou Academy. She just graduated from Kouryou Academy, then became a teacher. She knows all the secrets of ≪Blaze≫ and is also an acquaintance of Sakuya.
Since Tor has a duo of the opposite gender, most of her perverted jokes are directed towards him, which causes misunderstandings around him.

Miyabi Hotaka is one of the female main characters. She came from a all-girls school that results in her fear of the opposite sex (except to old men with gentle atmospheres). Her ≪Duo≫, Tomoe, continuously supports her at all times; she want to be strong.
From volume 4, Miyabi accepts a ≪Unit≫, specifically ≪EII.Libel≫, from ≪Equipment Smith≫ AKA Edward Walker. She aims for more power to protect Tooru but instead it turns out to be a disaster to the point that she hurts her friends.

Tomoe Tachibana knows a lot of martial arts, including judo. She has been praised by the chairman as being a smart and talented student. She always cares for her duo Miyabi, who is very bad with the opposite sex.
She always gives a plate of vegetables to Tooru, because he always eats only meat. She always gives advice to eat vegetables for a balanced diet and to regain stamina and power.

Imari Nagakura is the girl that Tooru first met at the Entrance ceremony. They fought to know who would enter the Academy. After a few months, they both met each other again on an island, where the Kouryou Academy Branch was located.
Imari told Miyabi that she wanted to be an ≪Exceed≫because of the money she received as a student. She wanted to help her parents and grandparents by using the money she would get.

Sakuya Tsukumo is the chairman of Kouryou Academy, and the genetic engineer from that institution who takes part in their research. She is also known as ≪Blaze Diabolica≫ because of her grandfather's name, ≪Blaze Innovator≫. She also inherits her grandfather's research about the ≪Lucifer≫.
